A cakesaw is a kind of saw with which cakes can be cut horizontally into pieces. For example, to put jam in between, or to put a piece of chocolate cake in between. It can of course occur that the saw becomes blunt or even breaks. It would then be a probe that if this happens, a whole new saw must be purchased. That is why Baking and Cooking also has loose saws for the cakeaws.
